Welcome to our Sunday Worship for July 12th 2020. This Sunday we are looking at the way the new believers in Jesus lived and behaved, as explained to us in Acts 4:32-37. There we’re told that they were one in heart and mind, that they made sure that no one among them was in need, that they shared everything they had with one another and, in the middle of what is a short but punchy passage, we’re reminded that the apostles spoke of Jesus with great power and that ‘great measures of grace rested on them all’. We’ll be trying to explore what that means and praying that God would make us like them today. If you owned a house, would you sell it to further the cause of the good news of Jesus? It’s a provocative question, but we’re told that some of the believers did exactly that. Quite a challenge…
We’ll be meeting again on the Emmanuel Group of Churches Facebook Page, with the stream for the service starting shortly before 10.30AM on Sunday. Afterwards, we’ll post the video here and on YouTube.
If you have requests for prayer, either for yourself or others, please visit the Emmanuel Prayer website and submit those. We will mention them during the service if you give your permission for us to do so. Alternatively, comment under the broadcast of the service on Facebook and we will try and pick them up as the service progresses. Similarly, if you or a family member is celebrating a birthday, let us know on Sunday.
Krissy Cressey has again provided a great craft activity and some questions for us to look at today. Here they are. We’re icing biscuits today!
