Welcome to our Sunday worship for May 3rd 2020. The service will take place live on Facebook and then be available to watch here and on our YouTube Channel shortly afterwards.
To find the live service at 10.30 on Sunday May 3rd, go to our Facebook Page – Emmanuel Group of Churches Facebook Page – we will aim to start the video shortly before 10.30 to give everyone a chance to find us and get settled in.
This week we will be having Communion together. If you’d like to join in with that, make sure that you have some bread – we’ll leave the portion size up to you – and some wine or juice – again, portion size is up to you, but we’d recommend not too much! – and then we can share in the meal together. Although we are physically distant from each other God is not distant from us. This is the first time we have done this in one of our Sunday gatherings online. We hope it goes well and that you are reminded to be thankful to God for his love and mercy.

As we have seen over recent weeks, a lot of people have contributed material for this week’s worship. Thank you to all of them.
Kris Hatherly has prepared a Simple Communion Service for us to use today.
Stuart Jenkins has recorded a video sermon.
James Fearnley offers us some activities based on Psalm 23.
Here is a sheet to download to help you with these.

You will also be able to download a podcast of Haydon’s sermon from the live service, as well, we hope, as sermons from other people who have shared with us too, in future weeks.. If you listen to Podcasts regularly, go to your podcast provider and search for ‘The Emmanuel Group of Churches Podcast’ you should be able to find it. For instance, if you use an Apple device to listen to podcasts, the link you will need is here: Emmanuel Sermons on Apple Podcasts.
However you are spending your Sunday, we hope that these resources will help you to meet with God and to know the love and support of our family of faith too.
